YST Science Outreach Workshop - Ruvuma Region

The YST Ruvuma Science Outreach Workshop represented a bold initiative to transform science education in the Ruvuma region. It took place at Kigonsera Secondary School with Dr. Brendan Dogget serving as science advisor. This inspiring event gathered different schools and dedicated mentoring teachers, all focused on the shared goal of empowering science educators to ignite a passion for scientific innovation and technology in secondary school students, while nurturing a vibrant culture of inquiry and exploration.

By providing students with critical research and problem-solving skills, the workshop not only equips them to address the challenges facing their communities but also encourages them to step into the role of proactive change-makers. These emerging leaders are poised to drive substantial progress and make meaningful contributions to the nation’s sustainable development by harnessing the transformative power of science and technology.
