YST Science Outreach Workshop - Rukwa Region

The YST Rukwa Science Outreach Workshop served as a catalyst for transforming science education in the Rukwa region. It took place at Kizwite Secondary School with Joseph Clowry serving as science advisor. This impactful event brought together a diverse group of schools and committed mentoring teachers, all dedicated to the mission of empowering science educators to inspire secondary school students in the fields of scientific innovation and technology, while fostering an environment rich in curiosity and exploration.

Through the development of essential research and problem-solving skills, the workshop not only prepares students to confront the challenges within their communities but also encourages them to become proactive agents of change. These aspiring leaders are well-equipped to drive meaningful advancements and contribute significantly to the nation’s sustainable development by leveraging the transformative capabilities of science and technology.
