YST Science Outreach Workshop - Kilimanjaro Region
The YST Kilimanjaro Science Outreach Workshop served as a significant milestone in the enhancement of science education across the Kilimanjaro region. It took place at Moshi Secondary School with Joseph Clowry serving as science advisor. The workshop successfully brought together schools and dedicated mentoring teachers across the region, all focused on empowering science educators to inspire secondary school students in the fields of scientific innovation and technology, while cultivating a culture of curiosity and exploration.
By equipping students with essential research and problem-solving skills, the workshop not only prepares them to tackle the challenges within their communities but also inspires them to become proactive agents of change. These emerging leaders are well-positioned to drive progress and make meaningful contributions to the nation’s sustainable development by harnessing the transformative potential of science and technology.
